I was trying to find a spare gas adaptor for a Soto stove. Anyone that can point me in any direction to find one?
There is a distributor in your country. It is called a Gas valve not a gas adaptor. To purchase parts contact the dealer at www.sotooutdoors.com Manual https://sotooutdoors.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/OD-1ST_EU_manual.pdf Distributors .International Distributors - SOTO Outdoors
I cannot find that as a SOTO product. I had a similar product made by Brunton in '08 Edit: I had a Brunton remote stove stand.
Your gas adaptor in your picture is not called a gas adaptor. It is described as a gas valve that is used with an iso butane or butane propane canister. It only comes with the Soto StormBreaker Multi-Fuel Stove OD-1ST. The link for the manual I posted shows it with the canister. The Stove also comes with a pump and fuel bottle for multi fuel use. There is a supplier in your country that you can contact for the part. www.ultimatenordic.se It may be a stove that is out of production or no longer available.
Well, still trying to find this but had this reply re trying to get it "The Adapter for the StormBreaker stove is not available to sell separately. This is due to our R & D being concerned about the Muka's owners using the adapter and making use of the Muka as a gas stove." Well, thay are right, that is my plan!
I hope you ended up finding one! Are they simply concerned that you won’t buy a Stormbreaker or is there a technical reason why a Muka shouldn’t get this legitimately great upgrade? Seems like there shouldn’t be any issue.
I have used the gas valve on my Muka stove, and it works well. Caution though, after the stove is lit, turn the valve and cylinder upside down so it runs on liquid feed. The flame is so hot, it may well damage the pre-heat tube, beyond repair. Cheers Simon Foxxx New Zealand
Well I did get my hands on one and did try it once. No joy, so it will live with my all new Stormbreaker
Thanks @tretrop When I adapted my Muka to run on butane I enlarged a (spare) jet from the stock 0.35mm to 0.45mm. Otherwise, combustion is too ‘lean’ and overheating results.
Thanks for the feedback! I was likely never going to get a gas adaptor, but I just ordered a Muka that’s been sitting in an online cart waiting for the price to drop. Excited to see what happens when engineers go wild. It’s ultimately a curiosity purchase after seeing the Rube Goldberg-designed pump
