As the price of everything is increasing with inflation and supply and demand
The price of kerosene is now €1.37 a litre in Ireland. What price is it around in your area?

Kero here is staying around $10-11 per gallon of K-1.

Coleman fuel has crept up to $15 from $13-14 per US gal. But the surprise yesterday when I went into Wallmart with my wife. She had some item she wanted, and on the rare occasions we go there, I wander over to the camp section. They have raised the price of Crown camp fuel (white gas; essentially identical to Coleman) to 11 bucks per gallon! They had it at $7.99 a couple of years ago; a real bargain, half the price of Coleman.

Now just a couple bucks less....

Kerosene is between $6.50 - $7 per litre in the DIY stores. More if you buy it at a petrol station. Even more if you buy low odour kerosene. Or it's around $23 for four litres. Fuelite (white gas) is around $11 - $13 per litre. Even meths is getting expensive at between $5 - $7 per litre.

The price of denatured alcohol [Kleen-Strip] at Home Depot went up by about $2 USD for a US 1 gallon* can. Was $16 and change, now $18 and change. Bought it anyway.
Gasoline at the pump seems to be going down, but is still over $4 dollars a gallon in Tucson.
The only kerosene burner I have is a Feuerhand Baby. I still have about half a pint left. Have not looked up the new prices. Kerosene was a lot less than white gas, last I looked.

    * US Customary Standard [which is NOT Imperial btw] Gallon is about 3.8 Liters.

Just come home from the supermarket with four one litre bottles of kero for $5 each.

Its good stuff as well, I have been using it for quite a few years now.

My local Bunnings is showing $5/l for kerosene, $4/l for methylated spirits and $9.50/l for shellite (white gas). Can only get cheaper than that if buying in very large quantities.

$3/kg for LPG / propane. Easy to see why it's so popular...

I'm sticking with Trangias for our family camping needs though. The result of taking too much notice of the news when it talks about gas explosions - people carrying propane in their car / boat etc. It helps that alcohol is the only renewable fuel as well.

Checked yesterday morning in Victoria at a Bunnings and pretty much the same as what you have in Western Auastralia. The bulk 20 litres was about $98 AUD (54 pounds UK). I bought another 4 litres of Shellite at the horrid price as it won't get cheaper.

Ed, you can by Crown online at Walmart for $7.00 and change a gallon and pick it up curbside. Cheaper than what they are selling a quart for.

@IvanN I'd like to hear where, too. I've seen those big 2.5 gal kero jugs at good prices here, but nowhere near that low.

Friday when I was there it was $13.99
I double checked online earlier when I posted.
I just looked on line it is now 23.99 for 2.5 gallons. A mismarked price perhaps? I am well stocked so I didn’t buy another jug. Wish I had now.
