I was looking at the female fuel connector, it is very easy to unscrew from the pump. But what tread is it on it? Anyone that know ?
A couple of observations on receiving a current retail Muka on clearance. They now wrap the ends in a Soto-branded silicone sheath to prevent kinking, which is super: And, while I might be mistaken, it seems the metal pump knob is stamped with a production date. Mine is 21-11. I've seen this reflected in the images on here where there are shots of the dial that coincide with this dating method. I might be wrong! I also learned from Soto US why all the Soto stoves disappeared from Canadian shelves a few years back: Thank you for reaching out to our office regarding the availability of Muka Stove. In order to distribute our products in the Canadian market, we have to have our combustion products certified by CSA. This is a very expensive certification process and maintenance cost is outrageous. Our management decided not to continue with the CSA approx. 5 years ago. Unfortunately, we have no retailers carrying our products at this moment. OD-1NP is the code number for the overseas market SOD-371 is the code number for the Japanese domestic market We have two codes but the product is the same. Amazon seems not to care, so Canadians get Soto stoves via the UK, Aus, or directly from Japan by ordering through them. Mine came in at $96 USD pre-tax, which isn't a scorching hot deal, but I like that it hasn't sat on a shelf for a decade.
I sold mine a couple years ago, fired up a couple times by me and PO. Too many moves to run and shut down. Duane
