BernieDawg Shapeway silent caps

    Looks like BernieDawg is shutting down his silent cap business until he gets his new supplier figured out. Just got notified via him posting on YouTube. Not sure if linking videos OK in here. Just figured I'd share. Too bad. That's how I know if my SVEA 123's are rebuilt properly. If it runs one of those caps I consider it good to go.

    Guess I'm one lucky SOB, I got one of the last hand made caps before he went over to having them 3D printed!

    I was under the impression that he only stopped using Shapeways due to their price increases. I believe the link below is current for Berniedawg caps. Judging by prices and shipping charges from Shapeways, I doubt it'll be more expensive to buy across the pond.

    As one can see there i.Materialise have them all listed as "Not for sale" so they've gone to Heaven there as well...

    I don't understand why he didn't just increase his prices and at least see what happened. Give it a few months at the new pricing and then decide what to do based on actual sales data.

    If he's only making $2 per cap, he should have raised prices a long time ago.
