Hi, all. I have acquired a challenging project. It is a Primus 54 with an incomplete heater option 154/1. The heater reflector is made of brass. The stove has suffered from a major "head trauma" and is bent, and out of shape, both, burner and tank. The reflector has several cracks, 2-8 cm long. The heater dome/bell is missing, as is the heat shield over the tank, and the 6-way "string protector" in front of the reflector. The outer cap on the silent burner is not original, but of the "Salor" brand. I have started fettling this. I don't expect to be able to find any of the missing original parts, so I will try to manufacture them myself. I have produced a temporary dome/bell replacement from a brass ladle. It has the correct size, but not shape. Also the support rod for this is made from 6 mm string. I have been able to straighten the tank and burner, and improved also on the smashed outer cap. (photos will follow). Next challenge will be to solder the cracks on the reflector. I'm afraid that normal (pewter-based?) solder will melt during operation of the heater, but that will be my first try. Further, I will try to make to heat shield and the three "strings"/narrow brass? bands that protect users from touching the heater bell and reflector. I hope to find some measurements / sketches to work from. Luckily, this 154/1 came with a practically complete Primus 54 "spare" stove (last picture). Yours, Håvard

A couple of photos from the fettle. The stove has been cleaned and polished, the tank and burner straightened, and new pump leather added. I have also made a temporary heater bell.
Ben, that’s an idea :-) Actually, until now, I have been able to get new projects quicker than I am able to finish them.
Hi. Now I wonder whether this is a 154 or not. Comparing to Alec's nice 154/3 , my reflector is quite different. There is no cut-out in mine, it is a full circle, and sits higher on the stove, than does Alec's. When the reflector is mounted on my Primus 54, the total height is approx. 430 mm. According to the brochure, the height should be 400 mm on 154 (and 157) models. The diameter of the reflector is 305 mm (12" = 304,8 mm?). I assumed this was a 154 variant, as it sits on a Primus 54. But could this be a 110 heater? Does anyone know the diameter of a 110 reflector?
Cont'ed. I've surfed the CCS and found that this brochure says that the diameter of a 110 reflector is 12 3/4 inches = 324 mm. That does not match. The same source says that the reflector of 154/157 is 10 5/8 inches = 270 mm. Also doesn't match. Could it be a Radius Model, or a Svea model?
@Håvard Kvernelv it is possible to be a Dvea heater. Here is a Svea 25, the heater is 30cm and sa little. The connection to the tank resembles that also. Nice done, i forget to say! Cheers, Francisc
