Meva Type 2140

    This is a Meva type 2140.
    I was told they were sold in Europe, not elsewhere.
    What is special is that the valve is in the nozzle pipe.
    It works well the whole device gets quite warm.
    Occasionally the safety valve opens.

    The construction period is unknown to me.

    Hi Bertran.
    I think they were not sold in Europe only,I bought three of them, here in Québec Canada ,in the past few years.I like these stoves .

    Contrary to what I see on CCS, mine doesn't have a number on the bottom of the fuel tank.
    What I understand so far is that this model was made until about 1964.
    There was a leak directly under the burner head.
    The gasket was no longer present.
    I made it myself from cotton and copper grease.
    This burner must be preheated considerably.
    I then put the pan holder over it.
    I will never find the original.
    I'll make another one out of brass or copper plate.
