Congratulations Steelman to a great finding!

The stove seems to be a kerosene Optimus 111, not a version 111B or 111C or 111T, but plain 111.
Even if the burner looks the same as on the ones that burnes petrol, this one should be for kerosene only. I have a couple of these myself, and they are very good stoves. The tank is infact not chromed, but nickel plated brass. Great to see that the tool is with the stove still, that one is usually gone frome these stoves. As there is an inbuilt cleaning needle in the valve, there is no need for a separate pricker.
You will have to clean it up and check that it is not leaking (pressurize it, and then put it in a bucket of water and see if air is coming out). If it is not leaking, put some kerosene in it, put pre-heatingspirit in the small bowl underneath the burner, light up the pre-heating spirit. Don't pressurize yet, wait until the spirit is allmost gone, then try to open up the valve, it usually is enough pressure to get it going a little, then start pressurizing. You will not have to pressurize it a lot.
Mine have a strange behaviour. When the pre-heating spirit is burning, big flames start to come out from the burner. We are talking about 40 - 50 cm high flames. These are probably from kerosene that is left in the burner and when the burner gets hotter, the kerosene starts to expand and as it isn't still hot enough, it burnes with yellow flames. Both my Optimus 111 and a third one that I have tested, do this, so I guess it is something that these stoves just do.

I think you are right about the age of it. I would think something mid 70?s. The newer one I have, has a sticker on the tin, and not the "Optimus" text embossed as your have. I don't think it is strange with some having nickelplated tank while other have a polished tank. It is the same thing with the Optimus 8 and 8R I guess.
