So apparently I have a problem lol. I was taking a break from work this evening so I started surfing the bay of evil looking at paraffin brassies when I came across a Primus No.51. I thought "Oh that looks like a cool little stove" so I set off on google to find out some more information on it. Of course our favorite CCS site came up and after the first two links and reading all of the comments on multiple pages I clicked on the third link. It was to the stove gallery. I saw a very nice example of the stove (if I may be so vain) with lots of pictures. I clicked on them ogling the eye candy and started reading the comments. That's when it hit me ! It was my account on here ! I have this stove already lol. My memory must be going because I had a total lapse in remembering the particulars of the stove, the fact that I indeed had one, where its at, and even when I purchased it lmao. I'm not a stovie....I swear ! PS-Now work has stopped completely at 9pm and I am digging through racks of stoves looking for it lol
I just picked up another nickel Primus 71 with the pin, guess I need to make a list like I did with my 8, 8R's. Duane

Wow. That's bad. It would be worse though, if your alter ego was selling it on ebay, and you were bidding against yourself to buy your own stove, I guess.
I haven't forgotten what stoves I have(I think). But I have found stoves in places I forgot I put them. You know " ohh so that's where I put it"
How to know when you have a problem... open ebay search, eyes pop on just listed "amazing", see what i wanna see item with a "buy it now", oh gotta snatch it up, impulse-click click-click THEN scroll back saying to self... ok now, exactly what is it i just bought? i impulse buy now & then, i also will take a chance on something. No surprise i'm also familiar with buyer's remorse, that and as per OP, buying an example you already have . ------------ my "holy grail" is out there until i acquire it i will keep tabs on my searches (i keep my feelers out, i'll hang out on CCS) although i can go 5-6 weeks w/o a buy, keeping my searches active i do continue buying (already with waaayyy too many stoves and parafinalia). oh i'll get that version, it's a better one for my collection, i'll sell off another (eventually i'll sell off another example). --------------- i have purchased "lots" in the past and at a bargain price but for "a lot" prices are waaayyy higher than 1 stove. i've spent more than i want to admit (also, eventually i'll sell off much of it). this just in i just made one of my highest priced purchases for one stove. i justified it many ways and it is a good purchase I'm not 2nd guessing it BUT How to know when you have a problem... one way i justified it, do this big buy now but no more purchases 'til spring. of course today an item is calling me, aaah... i placed my competitive snipe, not cheap, doh! I'm happy if i win: I'll take it!!! I'm happy to lose... justified as a win-win (i say to self)
