what could have been done differently? Read the directions on the disk on the fuel knob? Understand how the stove works? Have more than two working brain cells? You can see he has open the valve nearly full open before the burner or generator is up to temperature so the result is exactly what you would expect. It is possible to start a 530 with absolutely no flare up or drama at all. Most people let them flare on start up either because they don't know how to start one or for the effect especially if there are non-stovies around.
143 subs, I doubt he's monetized. Someone could post a comment explaining proper lighting procedure, though.
>>Someone could post a comment explaining proper lighting procedure, though. The lighting procedure is on the stove. I know that the direction disk is missing on many of these stoves, but his has it and it states: "Open 1/4 turn and light. After Flame Burns Blue 3 to 5 minutes Open as Far as Possible" I posted this to his video. Personally, I love the flame drama and wish it didn't go away so quickly. However, that flame should remain above the burner.
Looks like he wanted a flare up to me. If you watch closely, throughout the video he keeps looking around to see if anyone is watching, at least, that's how it looks to me. When he opens the valve, he just keeps on going, on and on until he gets a flare up, and how many people just happen to have a a pair of leather fire gloves handy? Is it common to bring them on a camping trip... maybe it is but not in my experience. I could be wrong but I believe he knew what he was doing and staged a 'show' for the views.
I understand the suspicions, but unless I'm misinterpreting, this video only got 105 views over the past four months since he posted it, so isn't exactly raking in a fortune.
I do a few YT videos myself, one with 15k views. I don't make a dime, this guy definitely isn't. There weren't even ads played first.
He might not have achieved a large numbers of views, but that might have been his plan... only it didn't work.
