Hi. I decided to buy a Coleman lantern for my trips up north and the seller had an old Coleman 4-M stove at a good price. I'm kind of an Optimus fan but have good memories of the Coleman stoves. I was surprised it was in the original box. I brought it home and basically just wiped it down. The grill is a bit rough and it's missing the sticker/decal on top of the lid. There's no date anywhere but it's older than any of the ones my family had. I don't recall any of ours with the folding legs that also hold the case closed. It works great and has a nice patina that I'm going to leave alone. I haven't even looked at the lantern yet.
There are few things in life as practical and functional as a Coleman 2-burner. That's a good one there.
That is an old Coleman stove in very good shape. I used to have one like it a long time ago, and they work great.

I did get the lantern! It's a 1971 335 with the painted nickel finish tank. It lights but needs the proper mantle. I have some on order. Off topic but the owner included a mint 1971 Polylite jug to put my Kool-aid in
hello @Jason S. , congrats thank you for posting it, it is an excellent example. I'd be hard pressed to recall a better green suit case. If it's not too much trouble... the tank should have the date (month year) stamped into it (check under the tabs that hang on the case). Could you possibly add a pic of that date? thanks again
Great finds! My Coleman 4M stove and 335 lantern are my favourite 2-burner stove and lantern, and my go-to camping pair for the past 30 years.
