Acquired in a batch of used spares with no provenance or knowledge of what it was once fitted to. I questioned Radius (?) because the pump knob itself has no markings. The pump cap it was assembled with is a Radius item however. I’ve searched the parts catalogues in the Stove and Lamp Reference Libraries without finding a match. Possibly from a blowtorch? Even so, the question of why utilise a composite construction instead of the usual turned knob remains. John
@Michel Ha! Well spotted! I feel foolish thanks to your revelation because I have a Mirus too! I should re-aquaint myself with stoves in my collection more frequently! So, not a Radius component. A curious design nevertheless, to introduce that complication instead of a simple turned pump knob.
And I would say that those parts reminds me of the finger nuts locking the clockwork to console in mid-price Junghans style wall clocks - when the Schwarzwald area in southwestern Germany was under french control, many products from the factories there were marked as french products and exported to several other countries including Britain and Sweden.

@presscall I think I can make a hypothesis: This way of proceeding requires less brass than machining this part in one time (less loss of brass) even if it requires more work We are in the 30's or just after the war, the brass is precious BTW John, the burner cap is not a Mirus (those are often lost) what have you used ? a picture ?
Hi, composite pump knobs were used by several Manufacturers, particularly on their larger stoves: Primus No.2 1934 Best Regards, Kerophile.
Inner and outer caps from a #4140 burner plus a cap base I made from scrap brass and steel to fit the Mirus burner. I’d to re-work the inner cap to fit the base component snugly.
Of course on the larger stoves, but it’s the application on this size of pump that was under discussion.
