Hi, everyone, My new shelf seems to be to short...It was a big surprisal to find something like this in an antiquary's shop which offeres mainly old furniture. The owner suggested danish origin of this stove and sold it for symbolic money. All parts of it, especially tank and enameled top plate were in very good shape.Pump washer had to be exchanged, NRV was in working order. I was close to construct a windshield for this stove. It is possible, but somewhat aimless, 'cause Svea Komfur was forseeing for indoor rather than outdoor work. But of course may be used outdoor too : And at the end a photo of the outer cap of the burner which is better stamped. I bought it some 25 - 30 years ago, when I didn't even dream, that one day I will get "stovie" Maybe there is to much pictures, but Svea Komfur is not so popular and even on CCS site is weakly represented. Thanks for watching. CU
Hello @Stanisław Grajewski, that is a lucky find! I really like the essential design of these Svea’s. The seller wasn’t saying anything wrong, it seems that this particular model was very common in Denmark. Nicola
You can read some interesting observation by Bo Ryman about a possible Ginge under license production of these stoves in Denmark here: Svea Komfur Nicola
Hi @Stanisław Grajewski This is a nice stove and, as you write, rare. Congratulations on your find. A'propos what @Nicola Francesco Elia writes , regarding Bo Ryman's information t I think that's about it: Ginge. Bigger stove.
Hi Nicola, I knew this link, moreover i read everything available what concerns S. Komfur, neverthless thanks for your remarks - they arę as usual of highest importance for me.
@Stanisław Grajewski yes, I bet you informed yourself already. I add informations in a redundant manner, also if not needed, because will be of future reference to those new users that will arrive on this post and will find immediately all the information. Nicola
@Knee Ginge and Svea Komfur have quite similar construction, but there are some differences between them anyway. I don' know if S. Comfur was licensed in Denemark or all known "danish" copies were made in Sweden
