I just registered. I have a stove with number 460 stamped on the bottom. I got it in 1998 with other stuff and thought it was a simple wick low heat burner until yesterday's ice rain and power loss. Today i opened the can and did not see a wick. So i found this site and wiki gave operation instructions. What a burner. I have not put in gas or lit it yet but did polish it up and will try it in a couple days when weather is not so bad. I have the complete kit and it came in a small metal box. Filler. 2 extra jets, wrench 3 pin cleaners, and an extra washer for the filler.
So. I will need to take out the dents and clean the old wet gas dirt. check the wick polish more and take pics and vids of starting and cooking something. Any suggestions on which chems to use that do not damage brass?
Welcome to CCS @Rick Cyr Congratulations, that's a wonderful little stove. The fuel cap seals should be soft and pliable, if not they need replacing. With everything tightened up, dunking the stove in hot water will let you know if there are any leaks that need attention.
