    Hello everyone,

I recently got this spirit stove Vulcano Alemania 225. It needs some fettle work. I think in order to dismantle the brass parts one has to dismantle the hinge. But this little brother is totally uncooperative.

Any ideas or suggestions? So far I have used WD40, a soldering lamp, and a pin, but didn't work. Should I repeat that again?

    Thanks.

    Luke

I would use a penetrating oil, not WD40. Or you can mix 50:50 acetone and automatic transmission fluid.

    Cheers

I have that same stove... You have kinda pry the hinges a bit to get that pin out... once that's done, you have to loosen the nut holding the brass feed tube from the tank. Making a filter is pretty easy and can be done with 16 ga wire, and some Kevlar thread... you'll need that to keep the scheiße from the tank from clogging the brenner...
    Viel Spaß!

    Hello Ke6ziu,
Thanks for your reply. Yes I did exactly as you said, just read your message too late. The tank rusted terribly, I filled some rust converter in the tank and let it stay for overnight, hope this could slow down the rust from developing further. I do not have any kevlar thread, I just used cotton strings. But I found another terrible thing later: the tank rusted through at the tank lid, I have to weld it.
