This is my Primus 30, date code D, made in 1914. The tank capacity is about 1 pint and is the same size as the model 210. It is fitted with a roarer burner (R127) as standard. This R127 is the same roarer burner as the 210. And its nipple is R390, the same nipple as the 1, 5, 221, 210 etc. So, the flame is powerful. The sister model is the 34, which has a silent burner. It appears in the ca.1905 Swedish catalogue as "Nyhet" (meaning "new"). So, this model seems to have been introduced around 1905. On the other hand, I don't know how long the Model 30 was in production. When I checked the available Primus catalogues, it was listed in the catalogues until about 1936, but it seems that it was not listed in the catalogues after that. So, this model may have been discontinued its production around 1937. However, a Model 30 with a date code of AH (1943) has been posted in this gallery and it puzzles me. The production of the Model 30 may have been continued longer, although it was not listed in the catalogues. Or, considering that Primus stoves were sold worldwide, it is possible that the models listed in the catalogues and the sales of the models themselves may have differed from country to country. Either way, it's one of the "headache missing pieces" for me. If anyone has any information / thoughts on this, I would appreciate it if you could let me know. Shinzo
