Found this Svea stove in an antique shop today. I think it's a 152, but all marks are painted over. I think the box is homemade as I have never seen the box, and it is unmarked. Made in aluminium. It's really a bastard: the burner is a Radius with Primus flame ring, and in the box there was also a Primus burner, with an Optimus flame ring. The pump cap is Høvik Verk. It also had a nice brass funnel Fantastic! I had some oil on the pumpgasket, and fired the stove with the old kerosene that was in the tank. No leakage and clean flame. Now it must be cleaned and put together with the other stoves. Together with another Svea 152 that I have.
That’s a good stove, @Magne Fahre. I like this set up. The Companion licensed copies of this range of Svea stoves were quite popular in Australia. Tony
The box is certainly a great fit for the stove, as you say most likely home made to protect and transport the stove, or possibly a lucky find which fitted by coincidence! A lovely stove, with an interesting history no doubt of long service from all the replacement parts.
