Hi! Today i present this Primus 210 from 1940 (AE) with a silent alcohol burner. It needed just some oil on the pump leather and a new gasket for the filling cap. The coffee is on the way! The instruction flier has the languages : Swedish, Norwegian, Russian, Finnish, Danish and German. Cheers, Francisc
An impressive performer, and beautiful plating. What is the cast iron trivet from? It's certainly eye catching!
It looks like a one-off or limited run for as long as the mould lasted. Someone scribing the casting sand with a stick to write the letters.
@Primus 96 that will be true if the letters was upp/above the level. The letters are under level. But I'm not an expert in molding.
@Francisc Masec Thank you for those extra photos, it's beautiful! I wonder if it originated from a liquid fuel stove or from a gas or solid fuel stove. Possibly the castellations are to allow airflow on a gas/solid fuel stove? If not, from my experience of casting, I have a strong suspicion it may be an attempt to reduce breakage on contraction on cooling.
