Hi all, Im a newbie to the forum. I've had a couple of Primus 96 stoves in the past. I found this the other day and was wondering if anyone could give me some information about it. Thank you
@Adam33 WELCOME !! Thank you for posting, thank you for detaled pics (w/pics already a candidate for the gallery) I know in US-speak my thought "Ho lee sheet, that is absolutely f__.. freakin' awesome !!!!" you lucky bastard. hehehehe not sure what the exclamation using proper UK-speak might be. ---------------------------------------- I'm needed elsewhere so continued convo is driven by yourself and others but, briefly, to expand on Duane's comment: "A rare, fairly early model. Great find. Has the early pot supports, bun feet on the fount." 1920s plus or minus Just that early version stove alone is a great find, in your tin with all it's accessories, i offer that this is off the charts awesome. My hasty weigh-in IF all the details match the earliest version (i'm leaning that way), re age: I'd suggest *pre-1911. *pre-1911: not using a Primus reference by mistake, pre-1911 per it's own Optimus origin. that is where i was at re ealiest No.00. Note too, IF the burner might be original, myself, i can not rule out 1910 due to it is small (1 pint) burner. Would have to revisit roarer details. The only roarer dating ref. i am aware of pertains to larger 2 pinter roarers. edit: heck IF the funnel is "Primus" that too is a treasure, the funnel alone.
Similar to one of mine except for the containers and mine has an enclosure for the burner in a corner. Duane
Wow thank you for all the comments. I thought the stove was early one, seems that by all ypur comments this is quite a find. I will definitely put pictures in the reference gallery tomorrow. Thank you again for the information
