Anybody care to give a country of origin. A nice chappie across in the States and I think it may be Russian. The tank holds 1/2 pint of fuel.
Süddeutsche Metallwaren-Fabrik GmbH & Co., Kommanditgesellschaft, Mussbach (Rheinpfalz) Reise und Touristen-Artikel aus Rein-Aluminium existed in 1913
Hi @Admin , Your stove could be dated from the mid-1920's, as we can tell with this extract from a french catalogue of camping equipment, dated 1925. @gieorgijewski is probably right about the country of origin / the manufacturer. All I can add is that it this brand was sold in France in the 1920's / 1930's. Bastien
In case anyone else stumbles across a "Record" set: The "Record" storm cooker had been in production even before World War I. It's listed in the Summer 1913 catalog of a Swiss sporting goods retailer and wholesaler: It was available in four sizes, the largest not mentioned in @blabast88 Bastien's French catalog, but still smaller than the one in the original post. A subsequent catalog, shortly after the outbreak of WW I, mentions difficulties with obtaining foreign items, for which domestic replacements were sought. That catalog does not list the "Record" set any more. This might indicate that it previously was being imported, consistent with @gieorgijewski 's comment. Christina
In a 1912 Swiss alpine journal, an ad already shows the Record alcohol cook set (ad by a large Swiss sports retailer from Geneva, with shops in various Swiss cities): The shape of the frying pan/lid appears more rounded in this drawing compared to the ones above, but maybe this also varied with the different sizes of the set.
