    A small contribution to the collection of this primus model no 501, this one manufactured 1926 (stamped P).

    A good find complete with the original regulated burner, and intact control knob of Bakelite-type material.

    The market for regulated roarer burners must have been very small indeed.

    @Oskarsweden The date code letter would be within the circle of the tank base script, not outside. The 'P' is a manufacturing code, the exact meaning is unknown.

    it is not "P" as the Year SIGN
    ------------------------------------------------
    in the time of production - was visible changes
    sets of changes give us elements of datation

    What a stunning example of a 501, the finish really shows off the superb lettering and the knurling on the filler cap
