    Hi
Just wanted to put up some reference photos of a new Bukta Methex for prosperity before it moves to pastures new.

Unfired with tatty box and original instructions. Later model as the fuel tank is painted steel and not brass

    The paper instruction sheet

Yes- back in the days before mass TV and internet the box had to sell the product.

None of these spam adverts then!

Well, it was a while ago admittedly. Steel tank. Brass tank. Bukta map.

The stove illustrated on the box is the older, more angular pattern with a brass fuel tank.

The instructions sheet is a great find and this recommendation to the user about not opening the control spindle too much is interesting.

On stoves of the type (alcohol, gravity fed) I’ve used graphite grease on the threads to prevent vapourised fuel seepage and achieve a more regular (no “surge of spirit”), higher flame.

I feel a surge of spirit seeing an old stove in such pristine condition.
