    Thanks for allowing me to join this neat forum. I have searched through the different countries Primus stoves here and have not seen this stove yet (Looking for the spelling on the tank). Need help from the experts on where this one was made and any interesting details. We're not even sure what the letters are but I believe that this is the spelling of "Primus" in a different language. PEHOPO?

    History. My wife and I like looking at local Goodwills and Thrift stores. I found this at a Goodwill for $2.50. I like vintage brass and thought that this was a lamp at first. It seems to be in great shape for its age. I have not tried to light it yet but the seals seem intact. The videos on youtube about Primus stoves were very helpful.

    Thank you for any help. Are ones from different countries with unusual spellings of "Primus" uncommon?

    Great $2.50 find! I should be so lucky. I have no idea about the origin of the stove but I doubt it spells Primus in another language. PEHOPO is probably just a brand name.

    @Whig Welcome.
    There are a number of references to the stove, Rekord made in the USSR, if you use the forum’s Search function.

    HERE’s just one such example. Yours appears to have its original burner, though the markings in your photo are indistinct.

    Here are a few close ups of the burner. I don't know what it says. Thanks for all the help!

    Zavod=factory, "trademark", Tula is the city and 1970 G(God=year) is when it was made.
    ЗШВ is the factory trademark and Imeni Vannikov is the soviet national hero the factory was renamed after.
