    Very early American made stove that cottage hill bill researched very well here. Frank Gates in his patent application 1914 said He wanted to provide a small portable stove that was easy to set up and could be made with reduced manufacturing costs. Believe he did with this fine little folding stove. Measures 9x8x5 inches folded. Early vapor gap design on main burner. Need to take this one camping and use both burners to make it official. Used it a couple times in backyard. Daryl SoCal

    Took the Gates Folding Stove camping on its first trip to the wilds to see some pictographs and Anza Borrego, CA. super bloom. Success all around. Made some sausage gravy over some homemade sourdough bread.

    @Daryl I don't know how I missed this stove when you first posted. I'm glad you updated with your culinary expertise on full display. That's a great little stove. Looks like it's built to last and I really like the flame pattern. I'll bet it distributes the heat evenly to the bottom of the pan.
