what is this?

on the tank...there is the fuel cap....the pump tube....and then at the bottom, there is another knob/attachment.....what is it? Thanks for any insight.

 

That dead knob is needed to make the pumping easier… something to grab while pumping.

Yes, I guess it’s an unique feature of this particular model.

Interesting that it was not seen on other models. I think that would make it a lot safer to add some extra pressure while the stove is still lit.
