I recently purchased another Coleman 533 stove and noticed that the pump plunger is now secured in place with a metal cap secured by a wire clip, whereas my earlier stove has a plastic cap. to remove the plunger, one just twisted the plastic cap a couple of mm as it had a bayonet style attachment, and out it came. with the metal cap no amount of twisting etc seems to be able to release it. the instructions still show the older style plastic cap. anyone have experience with this and know how to remove the plunger?
Pull one end of the wire clip outwards a few mm, away from the plunger. It will pop out and can then be removed from the other side. -R
Yep. Upgraded with the older style. The clip version is simple, sturdy and just works. Don't know how it happens (I can guess) but I've seen evidence that the plastic version can soften and deform and just get f'd-up.
Hi to everyone I have just joined. I have a 533 coleman stove as well. It lists its pump as number 220A6201. Would anyone be able to tell me which other coleman pumps might work OK in it. Thanks.
Every Coleman pump (with only a few exceptions) is exactly the same. This one will work. https://www.oldcolemanparts.com/Pump-Assembly-Neoprene-C11.html
Thank you so much for helping me with the pump for the 533. I have ordered the one you sent me the link for. In the last few years in Australia there are no longer many suppliers selling Coleman stove parts. It's very frustrating To be honest. I have always been envious of people in USA being able to get parts for almost anything. We do have Amazon Australia but it's not as good as the one you have. I also have a Coleman 424 twin burner dual fuel stove. I was able to get spares for it off Amazon Au. I am truly glad I found and joined this site. Thanks again for your wonderful help.
