Greetings, Stove Mates, Well, today is really a wonderful day!! Not only is my Sweet Bride coming home after working for two whole weeks in the UK, but a fantastic stove care package arrived from the UK, too!! When Ross and Kath were visiting us, here on our then snowy mountain, I told him that I really wanted a Primus 41. I'd seen a few on Ebay, but they were either too beat up, or WAY too expensive. I told him that I was not in a hurry and that a nice one would eventually present itself and be mine. Well, little did I know how "right" that statement would prove to be! Not long ago, Ross sent me a note, telling me that a stove care package was being sent my way. Well, that package arrived today, safe and sound! Once opened, here's what I found: two very old and neat spirit stoves! Both are made of brass, with some iron accoutrements, and they are the same Brand. The trademark is a nice , glowing sun, under which is stamped, "In Lux Way". One is called the "Two Flame Spirit Stove" and the other is "The Seamless Stove". Both are really neat, old stoves, and I'm proud to add them to my collection. Guess what else Ross included in my box? Yep, my Primus 41!!! YIPPEEE!!! He told me that he had two of these and sent me the one he'd been using around the house, and on many outings. It's in fine shape, and I can hardly wait to give it a try!!! It can't be today, as I still have much to do before heading down the mountain to pick up my Sweet Bride. But, as soon as I get the chance to fire it up, I'll post a report! I am really excited to now have my very own Primus 41! Thanks Ross, very much, for giving it to me!! There was one other neat thing inside my stove care package, and you will never guess what it is. I bottle of HP "Brown" Sauce!!!!!! 8) Well, I first heard about "brown sauce" on this List, and now we get to try it for ourselves!!! Very cool, indeed!! Ross, I cannot thank you enough for your kind generosity!! Like many others I've met on this List, you are a Gentleman of the first stripe!! I will treasure my new goodies, not only because they are stoves, and neat in their own right, but mainly because they were given to me by a good friend - you!!! Thanks, again, and I'll talk to you soon. God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc Mark (who is in "stove glow" right now, and can hardly wait to fire these babies up!!!) 8) 8) 8)
I found an unlimited supply of HP less than five minutes away ! ! My local Albertson's Supermarket stocks it, can you believe it? Bloody stuff's made in, of all places, Fair Lawn, Noo Joisey ! ! One bottle half gone and it's already a staple at exotic, palatial Thug Manor. A bottle resides in my '73 VW camper and in the 5th Wheel. Gerry
