    Hello from NZ,
Are there any other Kiwis here?
My earliest memories of Kerosene stoves start with my father cooking breakfast on this:

Here am I cooking a meal on it

I have other stoves (about 4 ) in working order, but have just purchased a few more this week.

I will post vids of one a week so folks can comment on each one as I get it going.

Please give me feedback or ask questions

    Glenn

    Welcome. that dinner looked tasty.
My collection started with a Burmos 21 and an Optimus 8r. It's now expanded considerably. They breed when you're not looking.

    Hello Gnome
I would love to have a collection of stationary engines, but my wife says no.
She is more understanding of my shelfs with tilley lamps and old stoves for some reason...

    ... for now

Good job, onions first. Very enjoyable clips to watch. I hit the like and rang the bell! Very lucky guy to be able to use Grandpa's stove. Thank you for sharing.

Kia ora. I have previously had one of these stoves. The one I purchased came with a sheet of asbestos that was used as a simmer mat.

The brand is TIBCO. Nice powerful burners, the caps have 5 rows of holes.

    Welcome @BagheeraNZ

Hi my name is Scott.... and I have an addiction.... of the stove, lantern...and blowtorch....and pretty much anything else that produces a flame!
I confess to also being a kiwi :content:
Rotorua born, Rural South Auckland bred.
I Currently reside in Tasmania and love it.

CCS is a wonderful forum full of wonderful people who I have a feeling may be suffering from the same condition.
Presumption killed the cat as they say.
I hope yours wasn't too singed?

    Anywho welcome to CCS.

The first stove finds that sparked my interest were a dutch wick stove and a bushman 404.
Since then my shed has become much smaller and smells of various hydrocarbons...kerosene...shellite and methylated spirits :D/ due to the ever increasing number of devices, Along with the various polishing and lubrication needs.
The urge to find, identify and fettle these ingeniously designed marvels is I believe an excellent and worthwhile hobby.
I look forward to seeing more of your collection.

    Again welcome to CCS.

    Regards
    Scott B

    Hello Scott
    Your shed sounds amazing!
My cat is fit and well! Although she gave the log burner a wide berth last night!
