    Hi, everybody,
Recently I hunted on internet auction this copy of Primus 71, quite good preserved:

The stove was in a good condition and in good working order, there was nothing to do with it, not even cleansing was needed:

There is nothing stamped on the bottom: 6.JPG

So only the construction of the tank lid may suggest the period of production - early 50s

Decal acceptable (best years have gone)

    Fully functional:

    Thanks for watching.

I have one like that, with no date. I believe it’s from the early’60s, during Primus Trading Co. transition.

    Hi,
Better late than never... I found this number on the lid of the box (aside)
    P5222419.JPG

Imo the the ending 58 can mark the date.

Hello everyone. I also purchased a Primus 71 stove exactly the same as the one presented in the post by Stanislaw Grajewski, without a date on the bottom and a serial number on the edge of the container opening lid. The numbers are 302858. Can anyone confirm the year of manufacture? Thanks for the help.

not really. Your answer is not there.
Your answer is here, above Stanislaw is correct 1958 is the year of manufacture, if example stove/tin were paired and is "as-original". Undated P71 in '57 or '58 tin IS likely as-original.

There are other various undated Primus 71s. The well established 1957 & 58 undated is a topic to itself
(otherwise -1938-to-1962- are dated). gotta run Happy Holidays

As soon as possible, I will take some photos of the stove and the tin container to post them here.
Thanks and see you next time
