I can't believe it's taken me until now to spot this. Congratulations @Nicola Francesco Elia it's a beauty. Thank you for sharing your treasure.
Well done @Nicola Francesco Elia, a fine stove deserves to be in a fine collection! I bet you're relieved to have ticked a box so sought after and long awaited by many! Top marks for trying it out too, I can just imagine the nerves and tension! I don't think I could stand to own something like it for long!
@Blackdog thanks. At a certain point, there are a very few items that deserve to be collected. I showed here only a very small % of my stoves, so I have a bit of everything… the 9 has been always a curiosity for me and an item to have… clearly the cost is always important, but I think that the money spent is safe against inflation As explained before, there was a little tension before the first test… the cracks nightmare was visiting me every night during the shipping time. Fortunately everything was in superb conditions and the full dismantling, cleaning and testing was the best part of it And making a video of it in action was also fun… I have not found any video available of 9, so I hope it was enjoyable for the community. @Aaron1980 thanks! Nicola
@Nicola Francesco Elia Far more enjoyable than money in the bank, too! And so rewarding when after all the searching and dreaming, finally something special and elusive is tracked down! Thank you for sharing and cataloguing for us all- until today I was unaware there were four known versions of the No.9, it's thanks to collectors like you we collectively learn.
Your photos were taken in a disassembled state, so you can really see how it works. I think this is an excellent post as a reference to leave for future generations. Lately, I've been looking at the photos in this post over and over again on the weekends. It's starting to appear in my dreams.
