I am in Christchurch and was thinking we should have a meat (yes a meat! where we get together, cook meat and have a yarn!)

    Anyone keen?

I'm not vegetarian so I like meat. What sort of meat do you have in New Zealand?

I was hoping for something a little more exotic like Kiwi or Penguin.

A quick Google search did not turn up any Kiore recipes. Just roast them over some coals I suppose.

I do not know where you guys want to meet up, We could go to the groynes or spencer park.
Or somewhere in doors, like a hall, what do you guys think?
    We can wait until spring.

Yes, I think I would be interested in a meating. Outdoors would be a better place to light stoves and cook with them. The Groynes picnic area would be good, so would Halswell Quarry park picnic area.

Groynes beats Halswell for Rangioraites. Spenser would be ok and quite central. Aim for October when it is starting to warm up

Hey, been a while! I like the idea of cooking in the wilderness for a 'meat'.
    Cheers

Spenser park would be great for a day but one of the doc parks for overnight. Suggest Mount Thomas maybe although that has a small cost of the park next to the Eyre River just out of Oxford which is free

Hi. Simon here, I'm in Dunedin and my mate Ross is in Oamaru, we're both keen as for October, we'll both be up in Christchurch for the Mcleans Island swapmeet whichever weekend that is this year. So count us in!!!
