@blabast88 I don’t know of a Centenary connection, with no evidence to draw on. You mention a possible Trangia connection. I doubt it, frankly. When I first got mine I was struck by how much heavier a gauge the Primus pots are. If not a Primus in-house product, an aluminium bowl pressing could have been produced by any number of specialist companies with the necessary hydraulic press and tooling. John
@presscall you might be right. But maybe some other company produced the pots. I guess that if it was a primus, it would have appear somewhere on the product, like on the handle... (For the 2246 Super Trekker, it's obviously a partnership with trangia, as the pots and the kettle have the "trangia" mark on it) It would be interesting to list all the dates mentionned on the 2252 bottles, to have the approximate era of production (even if it's supposed to be something like 1982-85, but a more precise datation would be great). Mine are "03 83" and "05 82". I do have another 2252 that came with no cartridge, and a 2253 in the same case... Bastien.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a replacement refill adapter for the Primus 2252? I have mislaid mine. Or does anyone have any drawings of the refill adapter so I could get one made.
Hi Richard, If I remember correctly, you can use the Primus filling adapter for the Powerlighter, which is still currently in sale. You can find it quite easily: Adaptateur pour recharger briquet à gaz Primus PowerLighter The website above is french, it is just to give you an Idea. Hope this could help! Bastien
