Question regarding Optimus 111 stove the screws which hold in place the heat shield on the fuel tank and are ar the side of the fuel tank …. What size are these screws . Are they brass or steel Screws . the pictures show screws and fitting the fuel tank . but what are size called And I are they brass or steel
Hi Jim, I can’t help with thread sizing (I suspect others can) but they are attracted to a magnet, which in my limited knowledge makes them steel. Base camp sell them (used) as part 2530. -R

If the grid the screws are on is 1/2 inch . They are a Round head machine screw . Swedish manufacture so more than likely Metric . probably 6 , 7 , or 8mm diameter , measure to be sure . Metric machine screws can be .75 mm 1.0 mm or 1.25 mm pitch in those diameters . Need a thread pitch gauge to measure , or use one of the old screws as a pitch gauge . Fastener shop should be able to supply in about any material you want . Good luck in your search .
They are 1/4 whitworth, make sure you do not make them too long as they will punch through your tank when tightening Rgds Tony
