I have needed (wanted) a paraffin silent burner camping stove since forever but they are non existent here where I am. An Optimus and Radius kitchen tank and burner only came up for sale and I got them for €10 each. I added the burner caps, a homemade pump leather to the Radius and it works perfectly. Not wanting to battle bending sheet metal I used the frame of my sheet metal roller and added bits and pieces to make the bender. I made the box for the stove out of sheet metal recovered from an old geyser( hot water cylinder). I had to make an extension for the shut off to be able to get it to work in the front of the stove. Pictured between a Campingo 1 and Optimus 111. I'm happy with the result. All I had to buy was the piano hinges, pop rivets and drill bits,
Great job. Looks fantastic with the other two, like it was designed to be there. And Valor Minor lurking in the background. Cooks a meal and a brew to boot. What more could you want in a stove!
Very nice work, professional. My Radius wasn’t packed properly and a large area of the porcelain was broken off. Duane
Thank you. @hikerduane I saw saw your misfortune with your stove while searching the gallery for identification on what I have. It's not nice when that happens.
