Hello people.i have been my great grandfathers old kero stoves. In there is a primus no 5 dated 1933 with a different looking trivet ( see pic and a svea companion stove (1934 according to instructions) that ive never heard of and there also this wee bugger with a handle that i can make out Hog and Co Paris . Any info on these eould be great. Thanks
@Ross Hayes Regarding the “svea companion” stove you mentioned, look at all the stampings on it. It is most likely to be an Australian “Companion” stove made under licence from Sievert. The early ones had both “Svea” and “Companion” stamped on them. If the instructions are actually for that stove, they are very interesting in themselves as they would be quite early in the production of Companion stoves. Where were the instructions printed? Tony
Great! Check out the Companions in the Reference Gallery as you go along, and see if you get a match. Cheers Tony
It’s an Australian made Companion stove. These stoves are of the same high standard as Sievert stoves. I’d be interested to see whether the burner parts are Companion or Svea. Cheers Tony
@Ross Hayes It may just be the outer cap of the burner that is Primus. These parts are easily interchangeable. Check to see if there’s markings on the burner itself. But it really doesn’t make any difference to the operation of the stove. Cheers Tony
