Great grandads stoves . Questions

In there is a primus no 5 dated 1933 with a different looking trivet ( see pic and a svea companion stove (1934 according to instructions) that ive never heard of and there also this wee bugger with a handle that i can make out Hog and Co Paris .     Regarding the “svea companion” stove you mentioned, look at all the stampings on it. It is most likely to be an Australian “Companion” stove made under licence from Sievert. The early ones had both “Svea” and “Companion” stamped on them.

    If the instructions are actually for that stove, they are very interesting in themselves as they would be quite early in the production of Companion stoves. Where were the instructions printed?

    It’s an Australian made Companion stove.

    These stoves are of the same high standard as Sievert stoves.

    I’d be interested to see whether the burner parts are Companion or Svea.

    Hi .im sorry but there is primus stamped on the flame spreader so obviously not its original.

    It may just be the outer cap of the burner that is Primus. These parts are easily interchangeable. Check to see if there’s markings on the burner itself.

    But it really doesn’t make any difference to the operation of the stove.
