I’ve just been on holiday in Denmark where every other house appears to have a yard sale. Occasionally I’d stop for a look but knew if I found a stove I couldn’t really buy it as getting it sent back to the UK would be a pain. One day I found one which I couldn’t identify and didn’t photograph because I thought I’d soon find it on this site, but I’ve had no luck so far. So here is a challenge for the experts; identify a stove from a vague, verbal description! • Relatively modern; I suspect 1960s onwards. • A pumped steel cylindrical tank fixed to the side of a triangular steel stand (a bit like a Trangia Triangle but bigger). Very plain, no legs or curved elements. • A rigid design, unable to break it down for backpacking. • No obvious smell to any residue in the empty tank. I think the burner had 2 arms but uncertain. I couldn’t see a pressure release valve but couldn’t see a regulator either. • A Primus burner but otherwise no markings A few things I didn’t note as I was in a rush at the time; whether the pump had a leather or o ring; detailed design of the burner. Any ideas?
Thanks, that’s a good attempt but it isn’t the stove. The one I saw had no legs, the pan support was a plain 3 sided arrangement. 3 rectangles of steel turned on their sides and welded together.
That’s close thanks but there is too much brass. The one I saw was more modern and all steel. I wondered if perhaps it wasn’t a Primus so I will go and have a look at other manufacturers.
