Champion Taiwanese Svea 123R clone - Pak Cook? Fire Lite? Other?

Picked this up recently for a decent price. The box says "Champion", no markings on the stove itself. Is this from the same folks as the Pak Cook, Fire Lite, etc?

 

It sure looks like you are correct. Nice little find.

 

That little triangle is a Stansport logo, is on a lot of Taiwan stuff.

 

I remember turning my nose up at those “imitation” Svea 123, at the Wall Drug store in South Dakota in the 1980s. The exchange rates made the real deal a little too costly, apparently.

The patent design must have ran out, for these copies to be sold in the USA?

 

Have this clone Optimus 99 with the same triangle on rubber key. Case stamped Taiwan no other labeling. Side by side hard to tell apart.

 

On my clone, if you look close, you can see the triangle in the case too.

 

Give a look at the bar code. Sometimes the bar code (numbers) can be researched for the appropriate vendor.

Works with electronics....

 

No bar code to be found.

 

My 123 clone has no markings that I can see.

 

I picked up a partial Pak Cook 235 since my original post, and the parts are all identical except the Pak-Cook has markings on the tank. I am pretty confident they came from the same factory.
