Hi, I want to show you my exibition in one of polish muzeum exibition of russian army Stones of WW 1, stoves are mainly From Osowiec fortres and were in use by 26.08.1915. Im collectin them last 9 years, for now Ive got them 19 items.
Fascinating collection @Alenstein. The whole question of which Primus-type stoves were used during WW1, what was available when, who used them, and for what purposes, is all an abiding interest of mine. It would be wonderful to be able to visit the Osowiec displays and area. Ian
Thanks @Alenstein . Great exhibit. I am just looking for information on the use of stoves by the military during WW1. Have they been found on the fortress grounds? If so, could they have been used by Polish soldiers stationed there later?
Igh37, Im watching your collection of old primus stoves, these are rally nice... First stove I found 9 years ago in village near Osowiec fortres, few months later another and another...I was surprissed so three stoves in villages with dostanie 5-6 kilometers. In year I had 5 of them. All before 1911, giergiyevski said so these apparently belonged to russian army. I was searching in all villages around Osowiec...So now I have 19 stoves pre 1911.
