Hi, I have an ex-Military Phoebus 625 Autoclave outfit: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/9971 I wished to use the Phoebus 625 as a stand-alone stove, so had to make some legs for it. Here are some photos of the stages: The photos probably give all the infromation needed. The starting material was a pack of 10 x Asaklitt Aluminium Tent Pegs, sold by CLAS OHLSON for around £5 GBP in the UK. The pegs are nominally 6mm diameter, so only need to be cut to a suitable length and bent to the correct angle. The lower 20mm or so of each leg is then reduced in diameter slightly, with a file or abrasive paper until an acceptable fit in the stove sockets is achieved. Finally, I used a sharp chisel and hammer to put some "non-slip" serrations on the top surface of the legs. I show the finished Phoebus 625 alongside an Optimus 96 to give some impression of the relative size of these stoves. Best Regards, Kerophile.

tent pegs, who would of thought of it, i need some legs for my 96s, as some of the leg holders on stoves are different shapes,
Old thread I know, but while stumbling on this can't help but warn about using aluminium for pot legs. Alu won't necessarily give you any signs before it's about to melt and it does melt in relatively low temps. I once had an empty trangia pot over the alcohol burner for a small moment too long. When trying to lift the pot the rounded rim came off.
I put an aluminum pan on my Trangia and farted around too long before I got the water in, yup, bottom just disappeared. Lesson learned.
