While browsing my local thrift store last week, I saw a set of pots and knew I had to have them. Turns out, it was an incomplete Edelweiss for a Primus 71. I had the base, windscreen, and one of the pots. I would like to have a complete set, but I’ll take what I can get. The crazy thing is, four days later, at a different store from the same chain (St Vinnys) I found the rest of the set. I was ecstatic to say the least! I cannot believe that they are from separate sets, and must have been separated at a sorting facility. So now I need to find a Primus 71. Anyway, here’s some pics:
@Steviebear , can't believe you found one of those here in Wisconsin! Northern Minnesota, maybe, with the camping in the Boundry Waters, or more so, Oregon and Washington, northern California, but here? With that kind of luck, buy a lottery ticket or two!!! Most of the time, things like that get sent to a central location to be posted on eBay. Goodwill is known for that, St. Vincent's (AKA Vinny the P's place), not as much. I remember in my misspent youth buying old flatware, and melting it down for the silver after having it cut up and doing the backstroke in sulfuric acid for a day or so! No such luck anymore. Murph
Another lightning strike! Just picked up another Edelweiss cook kit for a Primus 71, this one is the smaller one. It was listed locally on Facebook marketplace. Now I just need to find a P71. I know I can just buy one on Bay, but I prefer to find my stuff locally.
