Very pretty and classic French design. In that first photo is the cast trivet upside down? It looks like the other side has ribs to support the cooking vessel higher above the flame. You've placed it maker's name up, but lot of French stoves had the maker's name on the underside, rather than on show.
According to the images of the catalogue that I found when searching Lilor stoves (probably on here) the trivet/grate goes flat side up but is reversible.
