@The Warrior it's kind of janky but fits in like this Its rock solid but a little fiddly to get in...take me a minute to get it all together
A job well done. As for the Svea 123 diffuser plate... Its beams-supports can be given a more complex spatial shape, like on some Soviet "Ogonyok" PT-2 primus stoves. Thereby bringing it closer to the burner bell. The flame flower will then become less horizontal ("sprawling"). And, on the contrary, more cup-shaped, directed upwards, and not to the sides. This will reduce heat loss due to dissipation. The most important thing is to make sure that the brass will withstand repeated additional bends. Something like that. P.S. The images are somewhat exaggerated.
@The Warrior here in these two videos I show you the difference https://youtube.com/shorts/SwbbTh3jzlw?si=2cwqbyMrbsfpp53i https://youtube.com/shorts/gB3yZJwxK7Q?si=lOKSIfJXNNWc3XnU
@Andrey Sevastopol Oh you saw that....yep I am very aware of it. Once I got it all together the next step is to refine that cap. It was a feat just to size that one down, I did that with a file and a vise with a stencil haha. Next will be to reshape it out a little better, but its decent as it is.
@Andrey Sevastopol I got a couple of enders with theae caps as well as a oganek to copy the angles with!
My spider grate like yours....I find it easier to all fit together if I put the folded grate in with stove before I sit them both down in case. First few times with that grate you wonder if it fits..... All around "grate" job!
Good job on getting it look new again. For being so small they sure can provide big smiles. Add my name to your next delivery of babies. BTW maybe not the cleanest but no 'rust bucket' you will know when you get one.
@Remus1956 You can also purchase a Bernie Dawg silent cap for an Enders 9063/263 from iMaterialise Works really well as seen here on my own 9063
@Andrey Sevastopol can you tell me, if you know from experience if silent caps reduce the burner heating output in kw? I haven't tried both but am very curios if it can affect the power of the flame! thank you
@Majicwrench Ok I will have to give that one a whirl...I have a method now, but it does seem like it is not going to fit and then all the sudden it does haha. @Daryl thanks man, its not bad at all for $40 bucks right? If I see another one I will let you know. I am trying not to get doubles on stoves (anymore) haha. If you need a label I made like 20 of them. @Andrey Sevastopol Thats a new one to me! Not much information out there but looks good! I would try it. @Pharael I saw that cap from your stove when you posted it for the stove of the month. I think the hand painted embossed logo looks awesome! Now I dont want to piss anyone off but I like the cap but I am not crazy about the puppy paw logo dead center of it and its the only reason I have hesitated. If I do go that route, I will probably use an end mill bit on my press and slowly remove it.
