This is a Coleman Model 533, called also "Dual Fuel 533", and "522A454" on the stove decals. The base of the burner is stamped "8 05", and the base of the fount "6 05". The stove comes from the estate of @kerry460. It looked like it was only lit once. It has some water damage to the bottom of the fount. Up and running After notes After using the stove this first time, I discovered that the Schrader valve in the fuel valve assembly was not functioning properly and the stove was leaking fuel under pressure. I removed a Schrader valve from a NOS Coleman valve assembly and the stove now works perfectly. The stove performs as it should, and very well. I've got a NOS Coleman plastic storage/travel box, that I will mate this with and it can be a "go to" travel stove. Cheers Tony

I liked using mine, a good camping stove although I always found these designs a bit tippy. Pots look like they can just slide off with a bump or a gust of wind, even if the reality isn't as bad as it looks... but then I am mainly a Trangia user. I stopped using it with the price of shellite now around these parts. Nearly $12/litre!
They can dish out some serious heat - I wonder what the main difference is compared to the older Coleman 508?
I own both and other than a green tank on the 508 I can not tell the difference at all on these stoves. I think they're identical. They perform exactly the same.
Nice score… I sold almost all of my Coleman single burners except a 500, a 530, and a 533… The older two I keep because they are very nice older stoves, the 533 is a go user… (No idea how many 502’s have come and gone, but I’ll probably get one to keep, should I stumble again on a good clean one…) The 533 gets a kettle to the boil pretty quick, and it’s not “fiddly”… Works well with a Sigg Tourist too… The Svea 123 is my first choice for canoe trips into the BWCA, and the 533 is my second choice; carried them both in many times…
That rust on the bottom doesn't look bad, but rust progresses and you should kill it with phosphoric acid or similar preparation. ....Arch
My 533 I got cheap as it was sold as faulty having caught fire. 1 look at the pictures had me thinking I wonder if he overfilled it. No one else had the same thought and $20 later it was mine. Almost new condition. However it did need a new pump washer after letting me down on a -5C morning and it would benefit from a new generator as it will not simmer
