Title says it all. Part number 2496 on the diagram. I need to replace the graphite packing around it. I have removed the jet & the rack with the cleaning needle, and removed the compression nut that the spindle goes through. I expected to be able to pull the spindle out like on an Optimus or Svea, but it remains in place no matter how much I rotate it. I press out the cross pin so I can get the compression nut all the way off. The instructions & parts diagram with it don't show anything retaining the spindle, and I can't see anything. Can someone explain what I am missing?
