    @Cookie thanks, happy to share
    @Pancho the bomb was a gift and new to me too. I normally do the scratch made. Still have one more bomb to use and it was very good believe it or not.

    My wife have tried the hominy can and she says it tastes no so good as actual fresh nixtamal from local market.

    she wants to make menudo one of these days, if you were closer I would invite you to try it.
    I see you cook a lot over your stove appliances and that’s great, I am not a cooker myself but I got a great wife that loves her kitchen and feeds me pretty well :content:

    Very nice weather if I don't say so myself past day or so here in SoCal. Back cooking in backyard. Had rain off and on past couple weeks. Still at about half of normal. Used my 412B 1938-39 cast iron burner Coleman, that works like new, to make some simple pasta. Used the jarred sauce with some burger, onions, garlic and seasonings.

    Maybe just a reheat but counts in my book as stoves in use. Cooked up some Hurst's 15 bean soup the other day indoors and reheated some for lunch on a Juwel 34 in backyard.

    Chocolate cake by Omnia.
    On a recent farewell tramp for a friend we all took along something that we wouldn’t usually put in your backpack. So I lugged in a folding picnic table, a Trangia 25 and my Omnia

    I have the smaller version of that, the Optimus mini-oven. Good stuff.

    Radius Ltd No 17 slowly rendering much of the flavor out of a couple pounds of cheap off cuts & end pieces bacon. Crumbles get saved in the freezer for oatmeal while the grease is reserved mostly for greens & eggs and the occasional batch of bacon fat ginger snaps. Have taken to doing it this way off the side porch ahead of camping, for umpteen reasons.

    Put the round tank 413 to work today. Cookie lady neighbor brought some deluxe strawberry over and I baked up some shortcake for the berries. Had a zoom birthday party with family so I was somewhat rushed and opted for the jarred Alfredo. This makes for a quick meal. Daryl Sunny SoCal

    It has been a long time since I posted CCS but I’m still here and pop by when possible to check the posts

    Here is my Trangia 25 with no-chicken, vegetables and noodles. Taken whilst at Breydon Water, Norfolk with friends.

    Hope all are keeping well!

    Taking my, just fettled, 111T for a test run and what better to do than preparing a duo of wild goose burgers.

    Camping on the North Yorkshire Moors here in some rather breezy conditions… happy to say that all three here - Buflam, Optimus and SH & S performed valiantly in creating a Danish Hash… :) washed down with a nice Hobgoblin ruby beer… the two Bialaddin lamps will be lit shortly
