    @Pharael It was a toss up of 3 colors according to the wife...

    1) Olive Drab (Military Green) - Her response was "meh...I think you will lose it in the grass"
    2) Something called "honeyglo brown" to which she didnt like my remark that it was just a fancy name for dirt brown (change dirt for sh*t)
    3) Last after reviewing photos of other stoves was a color called "new cast - cast iron" to which we both liked but thought the name should be "graphite dark grey"

    Since neither of us could think of some sarcastic crap about the last paint.... "graphite dark grey" high heat engine enamel, with a 2 coats of rust curing high high flat black primer.

    Just waiting on the sun to come up on the tin...last night 90% of the tin was clean.

    After electrolysis and a citric acid bath....
    Tin is in better shape than my other radius 43. At least this one doesn't have holes in it haha.

    Cooked off with my workbench fans...and just putting in the parts to see how they will look.
    Most likely I'll keep the legs and hardware coated as they're pitted and this filled them a bit.
    Thinking two tones...black ceramic interior with a graphite gray outside.

    Note... anyone have a silent burner that needs a windscreen? Kitelamp is sending me the correct part but let me keep this one.
    I made a windscreen from a 111 fit for now.... It's not bad though!

    @Remus1956

    That IMO is a cracking colour combination for your 43E.

    I assume you have asked Mike at Base Camp if he has a wind screen?

    I was having a chat with him earlier this week and he had just received a full pallet of old stove parts which he paid a seriously HEFTY sum of money for. Going to take him some time to catalogue and inventorise everything. But you never know, he may have one. Also worth asking if he has the control key…tank heat deflector…:-k

    @Remus1956

    I don’t know if he has but worth contacting him, especially in the light of the huge amount of new/old stove stock he has just received.

    Suggest you send him a link to your 43E so he can see what you’ve been doing.

    In this life, you don’t ask..you don’t receive …

    Current status .. Waiting for paint tomorrow...

    Meanwhile I have sourced the little spring for the stove leg and it's the correct direction so I'm good there.

    Masked off the tin for external painting tomorrow... Will be two tones graphite outside...black interior

    Ran and replaced the jet as I think it was running rich....same blue but no soot. Ran for 45 minutes without a hitch on 15 pumps.

    And thanks to @Pharael to remind me to ask about spare parts that I'm needing. Sourced an original spanner tool so I can keep using this red knob until it arrives.

    Can't wait.... Just because of the headaches with this one I like it more now.

    And my paint arrived.
    I think it turned out well. I like the two toned paint since the wife and I couldn't decide (and no I didn't let her win and paint it purple)
    5 coats of graphite gray and she's all done. Just waiting for an original tool/wrench to come in but I think it turned out good...

    What do you think?
