Hi, on my old Japanese stove I has a broken pipe and I am not sure what kind of welding should I use to fix it. Actually I not sure what kind of metal I am playing with and I has only one shot. SO Before to do anything I will appreciate your input because ????????????? 2 head is better than one. Here some pictures for evaluation. Thank you in advance.
I would use silver solder/brazing, 56% is what I use for everything. Don't use the cheap, hardware store stuff.
Agreed. You got to clean the surfaces like super clean....put them into something that will hold them the way you like it (but also heat proof like a vise) Put flux on where you want the stuff to go. Heat the parts for a few minutes moving the torch...touch the silver to it and see if it will melt...and when it does let it cool off on its own. Silbrazing (in my beginners eye...very beginner) is a LOT easier than it sounds.

Looking at the pictures again...I don't see where it was welded or secured in the first place, nothing broke, or rough... so I'm a bit confused.
Here is what it look like before Than I have seen that the pipe has been push in before welding so I have tried to remove the rest of the rush pipe and go as near as possible so I could remove the inside pipe that you can see here but it doesn't work out as you can see. ??????? SO, I did my best to be prepared for a last chance however it I could find all fitting, I could make a new one.
