Im a mixed bag. I tend to use my phone 90% of the time as for me its easier to post photos since I use my phone to take photos. Youtube shorts I have to record on my phone and upload and then use a desktop to imbed them correctly. Trying to do this with my phone doesnt put the preview video player in my chat but a hyperlink to the short. Simple replies to messages or comments on posts...mixed.
I'm surprised- and glad- that so many actually use a real computer with a big screen. After all, this is very much a photo-oriented forum, and pictures are by far best viewed on a larger monitor. It's actually a bit of a "problem" that some seem to only use their cell/mobile phones, meaning that when they present their pictures, they tend to "over-inflate" the images because they should look better on the phone they use, which they probably do. Zooming in, so to speak. The down-side here is, that for us who watch the pics at a monitor... well they just will be crappy pictures that's been blown up but not enhanced. Without any sharpness whatsoever.
I’ve answered the poll, but feel a “first past the post” election will produce lesser value than, say the option for which two or a “preferential” poll. I use my iPhone for checking in and seeing what’s going on (I work from different places through the week), and sometimes for posting in the Galleries, but I use my computers for research, and for intensive posts. I use an iPad 95% of the time. Only mobile phone when I am out and about, hiking, camping etc. Pharael
I use a desktop/laptop most of the time. but a lot of my posts with photos are done straight from the cellphone. It is more problem on the phone because it's is small sized.
Like Tony, I check in frequently during the day on my phone, but I seldom post anything from it, except very short things. Most of my time and the overwhelming majority of my posts are on the laptop, which is my 'desktop'.
95% of the time I access CCS via my Laptop. Only lately, due to some issues with my Sony digital camera refusing to upload to the HP laptop, have I used my Samsung android phone to sign in to CCS and upload pix.
I’ve got a laptop somewhere but I haven’t opened it for years. I do everything on my phone including writing a small book and producing slide/video sequences for talks.
