This question is often asked, and you will get various answers.

I have succeeded using heat in the past, getting the burner bell very hot.

Be careful as the lipstick vaporiser tube is soldered to the hexagon fitting at the base, it would be easy to disturb this joint with the amount of heat required.

I fill a small metal tin with water, and place the assembly upright in this with the water level over the top of the spirit cup, keeping the joint cool.

Heat the burner bell to dull red, let it cool, repeat the cycle a few times if needs be.

@Blackdog Interesting. So i need a blowtorch. Thank you.
This kind of problem makes me crazy ! I have 2 Primus 96 and I wanted to use the burner bell on the lipstick of my second Primus… it was not a good idea.

Freeze spray on the lipstick, or a combination of that and heat (on the bell) might help.

I've heard of people using trumpet mouthpiece pullers from Amazon...

I modified this kind of brake piston spreader with a jewellers saw.

I cut slots to both plates so that they matched the vaporiser tubes end and the bells bottom. I had to use quite a bit of force to get my bell separated from the tube. The result was a violent snap but luckily nothing got broken.
This was not my own idea as I learned it on this forum, but I can't remember who presented it. Sorry.

Can also fire the stove up for a bit and see if then you can unscrew the head, many times they will stick if just left to cool.

I have a Primus 100 that has a sticky bell. I just put the bell over another stove fire and gently pull with two pliers. Seems to work every time.
