    Hi,
This is my Borde stove I acquired about one year ago on German auction.

When sold for the first time, it costed 144 DM (well placed money of the owner )

I provided it with self-made windscreen

    Rest of details:

    It was in working order:

In my opinion it is more a toy - or technical intristing solution - than useful camp stove. When working it is getting very quickly so hot, that it is impossible to touch it with bare hands. The tent floor would be quickly destroyed too. Operating of the burner with the hook is rather difficult and not precise. Not even mention to drop this hook down from the rock shelf...
    That's all for today
    Take care!
    Stanisław

Very nice Stanislaw and I like your self-made windscreen. You have some wonderful stoves.

    Stanislaw,

Nice Borde stove. Though I seldom use mine these days, in the past, it was fun for boiling up some water for tea, soup, or re-hydrating a backpacking meal. We NEVER used any of our Borde stoves inside our tent, but only on bare ground. Also, you can use the wire basket on your stove to pick it up , and move it, even if it's burning, FYI. Definitely not a toy, but yes, it's a bit limited, for real cooking. Thanks for sharing, and God Bless!

    - Doc

Very nice stove @Stanisław Grajewski and I agree with you about the usefullnes of the stove. I have the same stove as you have and even bought a new control rod from @Surgen to complete my Borde.
Ik have used mine once to brew some coffee, but I never used it since. There are far more practical stoves then the Border stoves.
They do look cool though 8]

Very pretty especially the logo, nice to have a boxed example. I can see why people are attracted to these.

The Borde has never been at the top of my list of stoves to acquire for the reason you mention- it doesn't seem the ideal choice to use in snow with cold hands. But I'll never write something off without trying it, so I won't walk past one if I get the chance.

    Congratulations on your find.
It's a very original and distinctive stove.
I think that makes it sought after.

Thank you for your interest in my entry and (partially) sharing my opinion. I fired this stove several times and at the end I thought " king is nacked "

Yes, Stanisław, it concerns also other stoves like e.g. Coleman 527

    I love them.

    Nice windscreen.

    But, you address valid points.
Makes me wonder how mountain climbers used them in the portaledge.
